Transfer to Kasese
Travel to Kasese, the gateway to the stunning Rwenzori Mountains. The journey takes you through scenic landscapes with views of valleys, rivers, and the towering peaks of the Rwenzori Range. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your accommodation and have the rest of the day to rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Montane Forest Hike
Today marks the beginning of your trek into the heart of the Rwenzori Mountains. You’ll hike through lush Montane Forests, where towering trees draped in moss create an ethereal atmosphere. The trail winds through dense vegetation, and along the way, you’ll encounter fascinating plant life, including giant ferns and colourful orchids. Listen to the sounds of nature, with birds calling overhead and the occasional rustle of wildlife in the undergrowth.

Birdwatching & Flora Walks
On this day, immerse yourself in the beauty of Rwenzori’s flora and fauna. The region is home to a diverse range of endemic species, making it a paradise for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Expect to spot birds like the Rwenzori turaco, the Rwenzori batis, and perhaps even the elusive African green pigeon. Explore scenic trails lined with orchids and other rare plants.
